For the official cookbook for the Instant Pot, I took the lead in art direction, creating a fun and approachable look for a broad audience of home cooks. The photography takes inspiration from vintage cookbooks, with ingredients and finished dishes shot on bold backgrounds with pops of additional color. For this project we shot images highlighting Vietnamese recipes for Helen Le’s cookbook, Simply Pho. Helen provided guidance from her home in Vietnam, and our team made sure the props and serving ideas were authentic.

I had the opportunity to work closely with author Rossella Rago and her grandmother on this shoot for Cooking with Nonna. Working with the art director, we created a homey, comfortable look using props that might have come from a nonna’s kitchen.
